Emmerdale — S21E9

Episode 1630 (Thu 30th Jan 1992)

Joe and Frank greet the photographer who is going to take the holiday village brochure pictures. Sarah has changed her mind about what she and Jack are going as to The Woolpack party. It was going to be the owl and the pussycat, but now they are going as roundheads. Eric tells Elizabeth that his scheme led to her getting her job back and a pay rise. She knew that there had to be a reason for Alan's sudden change of heart and is not mad with Eric for interfering. Gordon, the photographer, is a little disappointed when he sees his models - Seth and Archie. He notices that Seth hasn't got any teeth. Alan has dressed up as Oliver Hardy - he would have been 100 years old today

Episode 1622 (Thu 2nd Jan 1992)

Joe is moving some of his belongings over to Home Farm. Frank is hurrying the contractors along at the holiday development. He is still being stubborn over Patrick. Amos is having a free meal at The Woolpack that evening. He asks Annie if she has had anymore thoughts about going to Spain for a holiday. She won't be rushed on her decision. It is all go at the farmhouse as Rachel, Mark, Jack and Sarah prepare to move. Sarah wonders if they are doing the right thing. Chris and Kathy despair over their house.

Episode 2

Episode 1623 (Tue 7th Jan 1992)

Joe finishes his final milking. Jack tells him that he will miss him. Joe thinks that the farm is in good hands with Jack and Sarah. Chris is still annoyed with Frank. He thinks that by buying them Mill Cottage he is still trying to control his life. Kathy tries to make him see that any decisions they make now have to be joint ones. She wants to put everything right in the cottage and then look for somewhere else to live. Chris is worried that Frank will see this as a massive slap in the face. Frank is telling Kim how upset he feels. She doesn't want this upset to cause a rift between him and Chris and says that she will talk to Kathy.

Episode 3

Episode 1624 (Thu 9th Jan 1992)

It is the morning of the move. Sarah tells Mark that Rachel has also paid for Robert's room. Mark seems determined to have it though. Carol notices Eric leaving Elizabeth's again. She tells Alan. He still thinks that she is putting two and two together and making seven. Sarah and Annie share the kitchen for the first time. Annie insists that she will fit in with Sarah. It looks like it is going to be awkward. Alan catches Carol spying on Elizabeth. She tells him that she just likes to watch people. Kathy and Kim try and think of names for the rescued ponies. Carol manages to coax Eric into admitting that he is going out with Elizabeth. She promises that she won't breathe a word.

Episode 4

Episode 1625 (Tue 14th Jan 1992)

Annie receives a letter from Henry's solicitor. It says that he has bequeathed his share in the farm to Marian and that he has also left the farm £100,000. Annie is upset by Henry's continuing generosity. Joe proposes the idea of getting in a warden for the holiday village. Frank is not keen on paying another salary. Chris and Kathy have got a few details on houses from the estate agents. Chris is keen on one that is near The King of Prussia pub. Joe talks to Michael about him taking the job of warden at the holiday village.

Episode 5

Episode 1626 (Thu 16th Jan 1992)

Mark moans to Sarah about Rachel using all his food. Michael has stayed overnight as well. Joe has already been thinking about setting up a pony trekking centre. He is even clearing out a barn to make into stables. He asks Kathy to help him. Sarah suggests to Jack that they rent another 30 acres from Frank for the organic flock as this could increase the yield by 15 per cent. Jack is preoccupied thinking about Marian and what might happen if she demands a say in how the farm is run. Annie hopes that she doesn't come back.

Episode 6

Episode 1627 ( Tue 21st Jan 1992)

Kathy has received some more house details. Chris has not got time to view them with her because he is busy transporting horses for slaughtering. This is still a sore point with Kathy. Jack is pleased to be in control of Emmerdale Farm again. Sarah is getting fed up of him asking her if she minds about Marian's gift. Joe asks Frank to confirm that he is in charge of the estate. He wants to be able to make decisions for himself without Frank interfering. Frank agrees.
